On September 24, 2025, Zahrawi Group and Cepheid proudly sponsored the first Microbiology Club meeting, endorsed by the Emirates Society of Clinical Microbiology, at Sofitel Dubai Downtown.

The initiative, led by Dr. Rubina Lone, Consultant Microbiologist, and Dr. Adnan Alatoom, Consultant Pathologist and Microbiologist, aimed to create a collaborative platform for sharing the latest developments in microbiology. The opening session, titled “Hospital-Acquired Infections: Detection and Prevention,” focused on strategies to detect and control HAIs such as MRSA and CRE using both molecular and traditional methods.

Dr. Adnan Alatoom discussed the role of molecular testing in improving MRSA detection and clinical outcomes, while Dr. Abdulaziz Alhazmi, Medical Affairs Director for the Middle East at Cepheid, presented insights on CRE management through molecular diagnostics.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where participants exchanged experiences and best practices in infection control. Zahrawi Group extends its appreciation to all attendees for their active contribution to this successful launch.

Zahrawi Group, in collaboration with our partner BD, participated in the CCAD Essentials of Women’s Imaging event at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The event offered hands-on, expert-led training in Breast and Gynecological Imaging, emphasizing advanced diagnostic techniques and interventional procedures. Participants enhanced their skills through real-time simulations, case-based discussions, and multidisciplinary learning. The workshops aimed to improve diagnostic accuracy and procedural confidence, addressing the growing demand for high-quality patient care.
