This award is a clear recognition of a collective effort specially from our Saudi Arabia team in managing the opportunities and challenges in the 2020 complex environment.

Our team’s resilience, great teamwork, and hard work helped Beckman Coulter Life Sciences manage tough supply chain issues impacted by COVID, customer expectations and win business. Zahrawi Group employed creative ways to reach out to customers, do business in a new environment and increase customer engagement.

Rezum success brings us back to November 2019 when our Medical Equipment team installed the 1^st system from our principal company Boston Scientific in the Middle East region in Mediclinic Group Dubai.

This new and minimally invasive non-surgical procedure is used to treat the issue of benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) or enlargement of the prostate gland. The procedure takes 15min and can be done in outpatient.

Despite all the difficulties due to COVID-19 measures and elective surgeries being put on hold, Rezum technology took a significant place in the Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) treatment and more hospitals are now using it. During 2020, we installed Rezum in Al Qassimi hospital (MOH), the American hospital, the RAK hospital and very soon in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SEHA).

Rezum is today the market leader for prostate treatment with more than 200 cases in UAE and a success rate of around 97%. This huge success was shared across many social media platforms who spoke loudly of its effectiveness and how this will be a game changer for the patients suffering from prostate problems.
