Few months after the successful first DynamX implant case that was performed at Al Mana General Hospital in Dammam, KSA, our Intervention Cardiology team repeated the achievement in Riyadh where the first DynamX implant case was successfully performed this 21^st September 2021 at King Saud Medical City.

The DynamX™ Drug Eluting Coronary Bioadaptor System from our principal company Elixir is the first coronary artery implant uniquely designed to adapt to vessel physiology, activity level and disease progression.

DynamX is a cobalt chromium implant coated in a proven bioresorbable polymer and a low-dose anti-proliferative drug. Over six months, the polymer resorbs, freeing unique “uncaging elements” which allow DynamX to move along with the natural expansion and contraction of the vessel.

Our KSA Surgical Unit has conducted a successful meeting on the 26^th August to re-introduce Gelita Medical, one of our partners for Absorbable Hemostatic agents, to the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department in Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Group, Riyadh.

Around 40 people attended the meeting, including the Head of Department, Consultants, Specialists and OR nurses. Our team presented the full range we distribute of Gelita Medical innovative Absorbable Hemostats based on gelatin and oxidized cellulose.

Gelita Medical’s fast-acting Absorbable hemostats can be directly applied to the bleeding site for effective bleeding management – a process that saves valuable time for the surgeon and the patient in the emergency room or operating theater and secure them from any risk of post-operative complications to optimize desired effects.

Due to the current difficult situation and Covid-19 restrictions, the project was challenging but thanks to the hard work and efforts of our Surgical Unit team, we were able to transform this challenging situation into a great win for Zahrawi Group KSA.
