Zahrawi Group proudly participated in the Gulf HPB Conference 2025, held at Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan. This year’s participation marked a collaborative effort between our Surgical and Medical divisions, who joined forces to present a unified portfolio of advanced clinical solutions tailored to both surgical and oncological care.

In collaboration with our partner Medtronic, our Surgical team showcased a portfolio of advanced technologies that continue to transform surgical practice—featuring the LigaSure™ vessel sealing system, Sonicision™ cordless ultrasonic dissection, Valleylab™ energy platform, Signia linear stapler with the 8 mm, Signia™ small diameter intelligent reload and V-Loc™ wound closure device.

Meanwhile, our Diagnostic Imaging & Radiotherapy Division presented pioneering solutions in the field of interventional oncology.

We highlighted our partnership with OncoSil™ Medical featuring their brachytherapy device OncoSil™ that utilises targeted intratumoural placement of Phosphorous 32 microparticles, delivered via ultrasound-guided endoscopy for the treatment of unresectable locally advanced pancreatic cancer. OncoSil™ is a single-use brachytherapy (internal radiation) device used to deliver a pre-determined dose of beta radiation directly into cancerous tissue.  It is used in combination with chemotherapy.

We also presented our partners SIRTeX to showcase SIR-Spheres® Y-90 resin microspheres which are indicated for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or unresectable metastatic liver tumors from primary colorectal cancer (mCRC) in patients refractory to or intolerant of chemotherapy.

The event also marked the announcement of our agreement with SirTex Medical for the regional launch and promotion of DSM-TACE EmpoCept® S DSM 50 μm which is a degradable starch microsphere (DSM) for chemoembolization used in the treatment of inoperable liver and lung tumors.
